Au Faucon

I created this logo for a small hotel in Wissembourg, France. The hotel is a small and cozy place in the middle of tiny alleys and cute cafés. It is a narrow but tall traditional french building right next to the church which puts it downtown. I decided to go with a traditional look for the sign as well since that seemed to fit the feeling of the place as I was personally able to experience when I stayed there this past summer. I chose to include the hawk silhouette since the name of the hotel means “to the hawk”. I also included the street address in the logo. I created several versions in brown and blue as well as some with and without the bird. The hotel owners decided to go with the blue version that includes the bird. They implemented the logo on the hotel website, aufaucon.eu
